And I didn't give up 30 runs either!

To a surprise, I have returned to MLB The Show 24! While I did complete the "Detroit VS Everybody" series on that game, I wanted to try something new. Something... redeeming.

So for those who may know, the Detroit Tigers got swept by the Seattle Mariners. And I wasn't happy with that. So I wanted to give the Tigers some redemption by repeating that series in MLB The Show 24! I started Game 1 with Tarik Skubal! Who I had a pretty damn good game with him. Hell I went 11 up 11 down before giving up a hit to the Mariners in the 4th inning. It might be a double but I'm one out away! Unfortunately I don't get the one out. I give up a base hit and Seattle gets a 1-0 lead. Thankfully that's all I give up. Now it's my time to score! And hey, I got guys on 1st and 2nd with no one out in the bottom of the 6th! I can feel the runs pouring in already!.... Annnnnd the bottom of the 6th ends and I get nothing. Riley Greene let me down. I blame him. Even though I was the one controlling him.

Going into the bottom of the 7th, I had the batter give a soft tapper to 2nd but of course I had a shit throw to 1st so I couldn't get the 2nd out. And then of course I give up a 2nd run for Seattle. Thankfully that's all I give up. I just need to score something myself. Of course I can't when I get a 1-2-3 inning that lasts about 4 seconds. After that, nothing really exciting happens. The bottom 9th was sad and depressing and I trail 1-0 in the series. That's not particularly good. So now the next 2 games were must win if I wanted to redeem the Tigers. Going into game 2 of the series, the Mariners and the Tigers exchange double plays. If they double me off, I double them off! Oh yeah, Casey Mize is pitching! I get into some trouble in the top of the 4th. But thankfully I get out of it and allow no runs to the Mariners. I take some bad errors in the top of the 6th. But I have a small redemption with a nice double play to end the half inning! And then... a fucking miracle happens. Bottom 6th... Riley Greene RBI double. Okay I'm not mad at him anymore.

Sadly that is all I score. But hey, I scored a run! It only took me 16 innings to do that! In the top of the 7th, Seattle got a guy in scoring position, but once again, that scoring position runner... does not score. And neither does anyone else the whole game. I have Will Vest close the game out the game and give the team the win! Now it was time for the rubber match. Now because MLB The Show 24 rosters don't update anymore, I had to manually take Jack Flaherty from the Dodgers to the Tigers. Since Flaherty pitched game 3 of the real series. To which he also did the best in during that series. I waste no time in the bottom 1st as Riley Greene gets a solo homer. Okay now I'm really not mad at him anymore. After that, yeah it was a game of defense ball. Some bases do get touched but no runs score. Until the 7th inning when Flaherty gave up a no out triple when then scored later on. Thankfully, that is all I give up. I'd always rather be tied than trailing in a game of Baseball.

Thankfully going to the bottom 9th, it was still tied at 1 a piece. So I knew I couldn't lose the game in the 9th. Though it quickly felt like I would be going to extra innings. Especially with 2 outs and nobody on. And an 0-2 count for Matt Vierling. Well to extras we g-... Oh never mind. Vierling gets a base hit up the center. And then Zach McKinstry just tastes the right field line to get Vierling at 3rd. And now Kerry Carpenter was next which had some of the biggest hit ranges. So of course on the first fucking pitch, I golf shot it and walk it off and win the series! This was a very low scoring series. But it doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. A win is a win! And the Tigers have been redeemed!

Too bad that doesn't actually help their real record in any way, shape, or form.
