Another superhero season eh?

I return again to Fortnite: Battle Royale to check out Season 3 of Chapter 6. After we blew up the Death Star, a group of superheroes joined the island. Bringing with them new POIs, weapons, and more!

A new match ranking system is added in. You start on rank C and as you progress throughout the match, your rank will grow to B to A to then S. These ranks will allow you to access special chests and rooms filled with goodies! The new POIs including Utopia City, Supernova Academy are very bright and vibrant. Demon's Domain is a bit more dark and gloomy since it's meant to be the more villain type area. New weapons include a Hyperburst Pistol, Deadeye DMR, and Spire Rifle. I definitely find the Pistol and DMR to be my favorite of those 3. There's also Robin's Grapnel Gun which is fairly similar to Jules' Glider Grappler all the way back in Chapter 2.

The Hero items such as the Myst Gauntlets and Bass Boost, I personally don't find very useful. Maybe some players can get skilled with them. To me they're more gimmick weapons. I like to stick to traditional gun weapons. What some people may find shocking is that the POIs from the Galactic Battle, the Star Wars season are still in the game. Except Vader Samurai's Solitude. Which reverted back to Shogun's Solitude. It's not like also Chapter 2 where after the Marvel season, all those POIs disappeared. Maybe because Disney and Epic are partnered up, they let Epic keep those POIs through the rest of Chapter 6. Assuming they don't get replaced with other POIs during the chapter.

Boons make a big comeback in this game too and give you abilities such as shield regen in the storm and making enemies who attack you. The sprites stay in game but are now super versions giving you abilities like Superman laser eyes and speed dashes. There's also big and small spire enemies in game that'll spawn. Also will try to take you down with the troops they send out. If you are able to defeat a spire, you'll get some loot from it. Could be good, could be bad.

Overall, it is a nice new season. I do think maybe the new POIs are a bit small? But maybe I'm used to like Chapter 5 or 4 new POIs being massive. I did want to show what the new powers items do but I jumped out a window and fell to my death. Plus it was time to end the stream anyway so... maybe next time.
