I return once again to Mario Galaxy 2! My progress is slow but steady... no... scratch that. It's just slow.

Starting from where I left off, I begin World 3 with Tall Trunk Galaxy! And it is not wrong. That trunk is tall. I have to utilize Yoshi in this level and eat these floaty berries that basically turns Yoshi into a deflating balloon. Using what air is available, I'm able to climb up the tree. Obviously as I go up the tree, there is more floaty berries to eat. Oh there's also a little challenge room I attempted. I had to defeat all the piranha plants. And I did. But by the time I could get the 1ups I was teleported back to the main stage. Inconvenient timing. Going through the warp star, we're back in 2.5D. Going down a bit was a pipe that led to a little bonus room with 3 dice. Where you could get a... singular star bit or 1up. Thankfully I got at least 1 extra life. And by at least, I mean exactly. After using floaty berries to collect star warp chunks, or whatever you call them, I am transported to the last part of the stage. Floating my way up and avoiding horrible spike plants to get the star!

After gambling with a luma, I continue the galaxy with Tall Trunk's Big Slide. The tree now has trapeze bars I have to swing on. Doing so let's me ride a star transporter which brings me to the slide. It's no easy slide. You have to avoid spike plants, collect balloons (if you can. and even if you do, you might just die), collect 1up mushrooms (if you can. i somehow missed a lot of them even though they should've been easy to get), oh and not die (which I did an embarrassingly lot of times.). Next up was Cloudy Court Galaxy. This galaxy has you utilize the cloud power up to make your way forward. After collecting 30 coins, I fed them to the coin luma who unlocked a new planet for me. A challenge stage with cosmic Mario's coming to eat my ass. Did they? Absolutely not. I collected the mini stars which all turned into the secret star. Oh yeah, Luigi showed up. After that, I played the level as intended. Using the clouds to traverse my way up to the main star!

Next, I returned all the way to world 1 to take back on Yoshi Star Galaxy where a prankster comet arrived. Spiny Rainbow Ramp. The task is simple, simply kill all 30 spinies spread out through the level using invincibility power ups. Super easy! Problem, it really wasn't. Whether getting stuck in the mud or missing a spiny because you were too fast or bonking all around or having something just slow you down. Plus a 60 second time limit. And your attack area isn't very small. There were several times were I got really close. Whether I had one or two more spinies to kill and I run out of time. Or one time where I was literally headed for the last spiny, but of course I am JUST OH SO FUCKING SHORT and I run out of time. Even though the spiny was like... 2 inches away from me. It took me about 16 minutes to complete the challenge and get the star. Yikes.

I then went on to Fluffy Bluff Galaxy, still in world 1 to tackle on another hidden star I hadn't gotten yet. Thankfully this one was not a prankster. During the time I played the level, after traversing through a warp star, I saw one of those coin Lumas sitting on a big cloud. But I flew right past it. So now the question becomes, how the hell do I get to it? Turns out, i went way too fucking far. And literally the big tree in the very first section of the level is where you wanted to be. Of course I knew I needed coins first. I already had 85 coins before I went through the warp star on top of the tree. Which I assumed was way more than enough. But this Luma was greedy and wanted 100 coins. But thankfully, I had enough anyway. The Luma choked on those coins and transformed into a planet. Which was just a simple ride your clouds up to the star at the top. So after 2 and a half years, I had collected..... 30 stars... out of 242... oh boy...

Thankfully, it'll only take me 17 years and 8 months to collect the remaining 212 stars in the game!.... oh fuck...
