It sure is possible.

As one of my YouTube subscriber incentives, I did the Wii Sports Resort Ultimate Table Tennis Challenge! What is the Ultimate Table Tennis Challenge? Well the idea is that you have to go from Cole all the way to Lucia and beat her without losing once. If at any point... ANY POINT you fail, you have to restart all the way to Cole. No 2nd chances, no restarts, no nothing.

Thankfully, the first few opponents are a cakewalk. You can easily shutout Cole, Gwen, Tatsuaki, and so on. Quickly racking up your experience. During my first run, I was at 700 experience when I got to Susana. Who was my first tough challenge. I ended up in a deuce with her. But still won 8-6. Albeit it only gave me 50 experience points. For my next matches following up, I averaged around a 6-2 or 6-3 victory each. Hell Shohei, my opponent before Lucia, I actually shutout. Which is humorous given I feel like I remember struggling against him way back when I played Table Tennis and now I just shut him out. I jumped straight to 1500 experience which put me at Lucia. I actually started 2-0 against her and I really thought I was going to win this first try. Shut her out even. But then it got to 2-1... and then 2-2... then 2-3... 2-4... 2-5... and she finished the job and I lost 2-6. Which sucks. But I know it's possible to get to her. And only takes me about 30 minutes to do so.

I had to end up backing out to the Wii Menu and relaunching the game because despite Guests not saving data, I guess they temporarily save even if you hit RESET on the Home Menu. So I started my run over. Once again my first set of opponents were easy peasy lemon squeezy. Hell I probably had more shutouts on my 2nd go than my 1st go. Misaki was my first biggest challenge on my 2nd go. I ended up in a deuce with her and nearly lost as she had a 1 score lead in the deuce. But I came back and won 9-7! I couldn't shutout Shohei later on this time so I had to play Julie. I was only 75 experience away from Lucia so hopefully this would be my last game before her. Once again I get a 2-0 start. But then I suddenly trail 2-4 and I fear that my 2nd run ends here. I do make it 3-4 but then Julie very quickly makes it 3-5. But I am able to tie it up at 5-5 and go to deuce. I take a 6-5 lead but Julie ties it 6-6 and then I lead 7-6. We really were going back and forth. Thankfully I get a quick score next and win 8-6. But because that gets me only 50 experience, I had to play Yoshi next.

I start with a 3-1 lead but then Yoshi ties it 3-3. It then becomes a 4-4 and 5-5 tie. Yoshi takes a 6-5 lead so I need to score here. And thankfully I do. Tied 6-6 but then Yoshi scores again to make it 7-6 in her favor. Once again, I need to score. And score I do! This time, I take an 8-7 lead and then win it 9-7! This will take me to Lucia! 2nd chance and the title. Buuut... my 2nd go at Lucia goes much more poorly. And before I know it, I am trailing 5-0. Despite me trying to play carefully. I do make things interesting however and get it within 2 with a 5-3 Lucia score. Unfortunately the comeback is cut short as Lucia wins 6-3. I know this challenge is absolutely doable. And I can beat Lucia. I just need the game to fall a little bit into my favor.

And by that, I mean that I shouldn't be backing up 30 feet from the fucking table.
