Can I just play 1-1 and only 1-1?

I missed out on last week but this week I return to the Super Mario Bros. 35 Continued Interest tournament! But I think we all know the golden rule here. If you rest, you ain't gonna get any better.

This weeks first match was "1, 2, 3, 4 Queue". All level 1's, then level 2's, then level 3's, then level 4's. With a handful left out for... reasons unknown. Either way, I didn't even touch the level 2's. For the most embarrassing reason ever. 7-1... a level I can usually conquer... I choked on at the spring near the small staircase. I blame both the spring for not springing me and a bullet bill that gave me a bounce, causing me to panic, made me hold left, and fall in the one block gap pit of doom. I really do put shame to my family now don't I? I finished 7th this match. I'm no longer shocked. I'm just bad at this game. Next match was power outage. Okay not really. The host this week I guess made a mistake since we started on 1-1 which wasn't supposed to happen. The levels in this queue were supposed to have no item blocks. So the host just spammed us with 8-4 Bowser's until the match was over. I just hid in a corner of 1-4 hoping I'd survive. What was funny was that when I died, the screen showed me finishing 3rd. But then the results screen said I finished 1st. Huh... I've never seen that before. So it was time to try again and... uh... nope. The queue was still fucked up. After spending... a little too much time in a coin heaven, I did end up dying to zero time. But I got 2nd overall... which will probably be the best I do all night.

Welp. Here we go. FOR REAL! Of course my gaming power went out in 4-4 after I wasted my roulette spins and died to a Bowser who decided to jump backwards. I finished 8th. Ah that sounds more like it. Poor NoTM3 died in 4-4 after their star JUST ran out and they ran into a kooper. That sounds like an oof now don't it? Classic RTA was the next match. At least 1-1 and 1-2 are the first 2 levels. So clearly no trouble there. A warp to 2-1. No trouble there either. I even survived 2-2 and 2-3! But of course Bowser's breath murdered me in 2-4. Despite jumping. It was just a tad late. I guess I did avoid the Lakitu party. So there's that for you. Next up was the first of 2 RTAndomizers. Yes... two. Like... oh good... bone me harder why don't you? Thankfully 8-4 wasn't the first level... it was the 3rd. I was small... no roulette spins... I wasted 2 in the water part which ended up being POW blocks. Cool. I finished 6th here. Of course someone died RIGHT after I did so I just missed the fucking leaderboard. Would I do any better in the 2nd RTAndomizer? Not if the first fucking level is 7-2. I could not ask for a FUCKING WORSE first level to play. Yeah I finished 7th here. At least I did better than the host for this week. So that's a win in my books.

Thankfully overall, there were no technical issues like there were last week. So we had time for a bonus junior championship this week. Alright... I may have sucked ass this week but I am still ready to prove I can have bragging rights! I can still crown myself at something! I can have a smile on my face!... i slid off a tree in 3-3 and finished last place......
