Contact is key!

Hey all! Sans here from the Miicord Crew! So... V likes to do this thing in MLB The Show 24 called redeeming the Detroit Tigers. Whenever they get swept, he likes to redo the series in that game in hopes that the virtual Tigers can do a bit better. In this case, against the Oak... the Athletics. Yeah see they don't have a city anymore so... we'll just call them the Pluto Athletics. XD!

It doesn't look like MLB The Show 24 had Sutter Health Field which is the temporary field the A's were playing in for this season while their Vegas stadium was getting built. So I just went with Franco Park because... quite FRANCOly I think it sounds nice! XD! And already I start the first of 3 games early with Riley Greene and take a 2-0 lead off a home run! However that lead was short lived. Despite me starting with Tarik Scooby Doo and having 2 outs in the bottom of the 1st still leading by 1, the Athletics took a 6-2 lead. Am I already that bad at baseball? I couldn't score in the top of the 2nd but thankfully the A's couldn't score in the bottom. In the top of the 3rd, I start getting very consistent hits and suddenly the Tigers are in business as Kerry Carpenter gets an RBI single to make it 6-3 Athletics. Then Riley Greene with an RBI single making it 6-4. And nobody out still! Spencer Torkelson with an RBI single and it's a one run game! Poor A's. They already got too A-head of themselves! XD! Boy Alex Wood is just giving me easy pitches here. Andy Ibanez gets an RBI double. However the Torkelson AI gets... a little greedy and guns it for home but is tagged out. That or the Joey Cora of MLB The Show 24 is also too aggressive at times. Regardless, we are tied at 6! After Zach McKinstry lines out, Trey Sweeney gets an RBI double and now the Tigers take a 7-6 lead! Hey Athletics, did you enjoy your five minute lead? XD! The Athletics call on a pitching change and I don't score any more in the inning. But I get out of it with a lead! And I am damn happy about that! A shutdown inning by Skubal in the bottom of the 3rd brings the Tigers to bat again!

Colt Keith singles, Wenceel Perez singles, Kerry Carpenter flies out, and Riley Greene casually hits a bomb and it's 10-6 Tigers. Take notes Detroit. This is how you score against the Assletics! XD! Spencer Torkelson hits for a single. Andy Ibanez flies out and Zach McKinstry flies out to end the top. But the Tigers increase their lead even more. And the team associated with no city still can't score. Neither can the Tigers in the top of the 5th. The Arselethics do get a sacrifice fly on the bottom of the 5th to make it 10-7. And that's all she wrote. The Kerry Carpenter AI gets greedy in the top of the 6th just like the Torkelson AI. I guess the Carpenter AI didn't take notes and was tagged out at home. Computers are powerful but they ain't that powerful. At least the Ain'tlethics AI batters seem to forget how to bat as they come up empty in the bottom of the 6th. Some 2 out hits in the top of the 7th from Dillon Dingler, Colt Keith, and Wenceel Perez make it 11-7. Would've liked more. But just like the AI, can't get greedy. But then again I did say I would've liked more so therefore, I am greedy. XD! Skubal and I shutdown the Athensletics in the bottom of the 7th. Riley Greene, Spencer Torkelson, Andy Ibanez, get some hits in the top of the 8th and it's 12-7! A slow lead progression but it's still a growing lead! Somehow I manage to let the F-thletics get an inside the park home run... because... I guess nobody could get the fucking ball. It wasn't the ball but it was the players that were... SLOW ROLLERS! XD! The PooPoolethics do score another run and I think it's time for a pitching change. Yeah I know Kenta Maeda isn't with Detroit anymore. But he is in MLB The Show 24. So I bring him out and a double play is born!

Tigers get no more runs in the top of the 9th. Neither does Pluto in the bottom of the 9th. That's a game 1 win! A very weird game 1 but it's still a W nonetheless! Game 2 starts us right in business as Colt Keith gets a hit, followed by Riley Greene, then Kerry Carpenter with an RBI, Wenceel Perez with an RBI, Andy Ibanez with a BOMB to make it 5-0 Detroit! Zach McKinstry gets a hit but there's no runs scored after that. But hey, I will take a sexy 5-0 early lead! But now... can Charlie Morton defend the lead? Unlike Skubby? Answer... he can indeed shut them down! No score in the top of the 2nd and none for Saccy in the bottom. Andy Ibanez, Zach McKinstry get some more hits but there's no score. It's still 5-0 Tigers. And still 5-0 Tigers after the bottom of the 3rd. In the top of the 4th, Riley Greene gets a 2 out double and so does Kerry Carpenter. Though his AI tries to gun it for 3rd and my attempt to stop him is too little too late and he's out at 2nd. Fuck stop getting GREEDY! At least Carp still had the RBI. Morton continues to shut the Expired Applelethics in the bottom of the 4th. And in the top of the 5th, Perez, Ibanez get hits, McKinstry gets an RBI single, Baez with an RBI triple... Baez? In this economy? Rogers gets an RBI sac fly, and that ends the runs. And it's 10-0 Tigers going to the bottom of the 5th! Charlie Morton once again doesn't let Crapramento do anything and Jake Rogers ends the bottom of the 5th by just standing there and catching the ball. A quiet 6th inning on both sides and for the 7th inning too and yes... the 8th inning too. I just rush through the top of the 9th because I figured I was going to win the game anyway. Some quick bunts will seal the deal into the bottom of the 9th! And Charlie Morton and I get a complete game shutout as it's a 10- 0 Tigers game here! I guess Morton showed Skubal who the real master was. XD!

So it was a series win but I still had one more game to play for pure bragging rights? Could I sweep the Sashamomento Atleptics? Well with hits by Colt Keith, Riley Greene, and Spencer Torkelson, I was able to grab a 1-0 lead for Casey Mize! To whom of which delivered a healthy goose egg! In the top of the 2nd, McKinstry, Dingler, and Perez each get a hit a piece and it's 2-0 Tigers! And that's where the score stays going to the top of the 3rd where Carpenter hits a solo bomb! Greene is able to beat out a throw, Ibanez gets a hit, but a McKinstry double play leaves it only at a score of 3-0 Tigers. Hmm... 3 runs in 3 innings. (A's) you can see, I am sensing a pattern here! XD! Of course there's a poopy rain delay so that means Casey Mize's day is done. Sure I could've kept him in but realistically I took him out. I was also today years old when I found out that you cannot watch the warming up bar fill in real time. Hey it's a shy bar alright? Anyways the rain is over and Tyler Holton comes in to pitch. Bad choice. He gave up a homer. But that's all he did give up. Tigers still hold on to a 2 run lead. A Dingler single and a Keith homer makes it a 4 run lead! The Kerry Carpenter AI is a greedy dunce and tries for an in the park homer. That fails horribly. But at least the Aydungets fail horribly to score atall in the bottom of the 4th. I do get Tigers at 2nd and 3rd int he top of the 5th but with 2 outs and a Trey Sweeney fly out, the Tigers get no score going to the bottom of the 5th. Sashthetrash strands a guy on 2nd and we go to the top of the 6th! Keith and Carp gets hits and Greene is intentionally walked to load the bases. Though Torkelson was utterly useless. He won't be hearing the end of it by his Torkeldaddy. XD! Holton delivers one more out in the bottom of the 6th before I send in Jackson Jobe who strands a guy and gets 2 more outs. To the top of the 7th where McKinstry gets a hit, so does Sweeney, Dingler with an RBI, Keith with an RBI, a pitching change by the Upblehshicks to end the inning. But Detroit secures 2 more runs!

In the bottom of the 7th, it's a 1-2-3 count with me and the same for Detroit in the top of the 8th. Yeah we keep counting to 3 in the bottom of the 8th too! I speed my way through the top of the 9th... or... try to. Even with a bunt it turns out that sometimes Palakrento just throws the ball away and McKinstry lands on 2nd. So why not. Let's let the bats have some fun as Dingler gets an RBI! Keith gets a hit but that does it for hits with no more runs scored. 8-1 Tigers to the bottom of the 9th. Let's sweep the Oakless A's. After allowing guys to 1st and 2nd, Soderstrom gets a hit and Langeliers guns it for home. But a PERFECT throw by Greene to home plate gets Langeliers out! HAH! NO SCORE FOR YOU BITCH! Seth Brown pops out and the Tigers get the win and the sweep! See? You can beat this team that has no city! No kryptonite is applied in MLB The Show 24! And that is what we call... time for me to go to fucking bed! XD!
