How did the parents let them get lost?

For the final game in my Humongous Summer Games 2025 block, I check out Putt-Putt Saves The Zoo! Is this perhaps a prequel to Joins The Circus? We may never know.

Putt-Putt starts by visiting Mr. Baldini as he talks about the opening of the Cartown Zoo! Mr. Baldini seems equally as thrilled and offers Putt-Putt to deliver some zoo chow before the zoo opens. My job, to deliver the chow to Outback Owl, the Zookeeper. Once listening to a zoo musical and getting access inside the zoo, I deliver the chow. But it turns out some of the baby animals have let loose and it's up to me to rescue them and deliver them back to their parents. The animals here I have to rescue include Baby Jambo, Kenya, Masai, Sammy, Zanzibar, and Skeeter. Of course can't go on an adventure on an empty stomach. So he visits Chuck Wagon the food cart and picks up some cheese squiggles and hot chocolate. All on the house too! Next up, 3 areas to explore. Arcticland, Grasslands, and Jungleland! I decide to check out Arcticland to... annnd I'm already leaving because Putt-Putt's sneeze causes a huge ass load of snow to fall down, nearly crushing Putt-Putt and Pep. Of course they make it out alive. A small shed shows a rope item I can use.

Off to Grasslands! After playing a quick game of animal tag, I visit Mama Mombassa who's distraught about her missing Baby Jambo. In my trails, I come across Sammy Seal. Who was playing around in the water when suddenly the dam closed. So I need to open it up. Despite it looking like Sammy Seal can just... jump to the other side of the dam. I guess Sammy is just lazy. I can't go any further from here so I set off the other way where I meet with Mrs. Giraffe, mother of Masai. She tells me when I find Masai to tell her that mommy misses her. I mean why wouldn't mommy miss her? Onward is Leo and Leona lion, parents of Kenya. My goodness just how do these baby animals all end up missing? Onward further, I find Baby Jambo. Who's scared shitless by... a tiny little Jerry The Mouse. No seriously, Baby Jambo is beyond scared. Pathetic. Thankfully it takes some cheese squiggles to make Jerry move and let Baby Jambo return to her mother. Cool! One animal saved, 5 to go! At the end of this road is a paint shack and a shovel too. Well I know where I can use the shovel!

I use the shovel to dig the snow in Arcticland, from there I meet with Skeeter the baby snake. And Skeeter is colder than... cold. I had gotten a hot chocolate a while ago. But it was probably cooled down by now. But in Putt-Putt land, it's still as hot as ever. And Skeeter is warmed right up and returns to its mother. How the hell did it end up all the way in Arcticland? After playing a round of ice hockey, I meet with the penguins and Zanzibar who found herself stuck on a piece of ice in the lake. Thankfully it's easy as arranging the chunks of ice into a clean path to free her. Totally not scared crossing the ice is she. But she makes it and returns home. Goodness I am freeing these little guys fast. On the ice slides I meet with Squidgy and Bobby Seal, Sammy's parents. Huh that's funny... Bobby... Sammy... anyways... yes they are just as concerned about their missing daughter. No clicking on the slides path doesn't do anything. It lets me ride the slide but doesn't take me anywhere new. Well it's onward to Jungleland! After using a vine to swing over an alligator... or crocodile... I don't know which one it is... and listening to monkeys rhyme, I use the log I found earlier to rebuild the raft and head into the waters!

After an exciting ride, I meet with Kenya the lion cub. Who found herself stuck on a little platform in the waterfall. It's too high for me to grab her from below. So I have to take the above route and pull her up. And holy fuck... Putt-Putt is strong to all hell. Not even 40 minutes in the stream and already only 2 animals left to save. Next up is Masai the baby giraffe who got stuck and can't find a way to go because of a giant rock blocking her path plus the drawbridge being pulled up. After we knock down the rock, I drive over to the other side where I pull down the bridge and let Masai return home. Now I just needed to figure out how the fuck to save Sammy Seal. And unfortunately... despite things going so well... I hit a "where the fuck do I go?" roadblock. Fuck me. I did meet with Patty Wagon in the main lobby area who gave me a free camera. But that did not help me rescue Sammy Seal. It took me over 16 minutes before I realized there was a hidden door under the ZOO sign in Jungleland containing a toolbox. Holy fuck that is hidden. But then again a 7 year old kid probably would've found that in about 2 seconds. I grab the correct wrench and open the dam. Letting Sammy Seal finally free, and finally letting the zoo open. Putt-Putt is given a junior zookeeper award for my bravery in freeing the animals and returning them safely.

And let's all be honest here, Outback is a horrible zookeeper if the babies went loose that easily.
