I remember this one the most.

For the 3rd game in my childhood block, I took a look at Toy Story 3 for the DS. A game I used to play a lot when I was younger. At the time, it was one of my favorite games. Looking back now... it is still honestly kind of fun!

Just like the movie, the game has us start on the train. Though Woody this time is running right on the train. I don't believe that happened in the movie. We run across the several cars. Trying not to slip and fall while also avoiding deadly laser beams. Which are pretty easy to avoid. After that, we got to be quick to stop the train. But alas we're too late and we die. No just kidding, Buzz is there to lift the whole train with one hand. Because that's realistic.

We leave the imagination and spend time... filling up Ham with coins. I guess even as a piggy bank he's still light when empty. And mind you, even with all the coins we put in him, it probably added maybe... 1 and a half pounds to his weight. So we probably could've gotten Buzz lifted without putting those coins in Ham.

We then go to another imagination segment. This part I vividly remember where we have to help Buzz fly through space while shooting down asteroids and crystals. We also come face to face with the evil Zurg. But he wasn't a threat... at all. Just shoot at him several times and you'll be fine... this really was all just so we could grab a phone? Maybe Rex's imagination is super fast given in real life it probably would've taken Buzz about 3 seconds to get to the phone.

We then practice playtime by having what I would describe as a Bloons TD game. We have to survive waves of enemies at a time while also placing down defenses including frisbee launchers, snowball launchers, and rocket launchers. Which can be upgraded with an upgrade block that appears... very... very rarely. And in case of emergency, we can have Rex run through everyone. Yeah I got through the waves easily and pretty soon it was time to deal with final boss Ham. Ham did make it to my town and started attacking it. But that Town stood up long enough so all was good.

Next, we control Woody again as we try to save our friends as they were mistakenly taken piled in with trash. I don't really find it necessary that we had to use a fan to get up on a small door side table to get to the door knob. And I'm sorry but unless Woody is stupid light or that fan is stupid strong, I don't think Woody would've been easily able to ride the wind of the fan to the small table.

We traverse through the garage. I take a bowling ball to the trash can and uh oh! The trash bag isn't there! So I have to open the garage door and try to explain to the other toys that they weren't being thrown away. Of course that doesn't work. It didn't work in the movie after all. We're then brought to Sunnyside Daycare where we meet Lots-o-Huggin' Bear. Or Lotso. And already Woody wants to leave.

So we explore around Sunnyside. I give Woody a powerup that basically gives him a Super Mario ground pound smash that can break light toys. I use that to break a couple blocks so then I can move a bouncy drum and proceed on through the vent at the top which leads to some office area. There are darts all around the room. Apparently you can't get all of them at once. You have to collect one, and then shoot it at the wall at a time. No wonder why I got confused that the other darts weren't giving me the ability to interact with them. Either way, I got them pinned to the wall and saved the game.

How sad that Woody didn't want to stay and hang out with his friends. But then again... he left in the movie so logically he would have to leave in the video game. But then again the game has Buzz soaring through space. Going through hoops and destroying asteroids and crystals which does not happen in the movie.
