Imagine that number in real life.

I returned to MLB The Show 24! And this time, I wanted to try something different. Not too long ago, I did the high score challenge in Madden NFL 25. And I wanted to do that again but in MLB The Show 24! Obviously to make my odds as best they could be, I picked the worst team to play as. Which was the Athletics. They were really bad in 2023. REALLY bad. This game also had custom sliders just like Madden 25.
My first inning was nothing short of fantastic. I got 9 runs in before going to the top of the 2nd. I thought I would last in the bottom 1st forever. But I guess even the best players in the world still get outs someday. Oh yeah, I had Tarik Skubal pitching too. Shocking right? Sadly I only got 3 more runs in the bottom of the 2nd. I hope my guys weren't getting tired already.
I sadly got double played in the bottom of the 3rd so no runs there. I was getting worried that this challenge was going to get tough already. Although my 4th inning wasn't too shabby. 8 more runs to make my count up to 20! Perhaps 99 runs would be possible! Error room would be very minimal though. A bad CPU move though got me out early with only 4 more runs scored in the bottom of the 5th.
I still scored some more runs in the bottom of the 6th. I'm sure at this point every single one of my guys had a home run. But it was only 5. And with 2 batting innings left, I was starting to believe 99 would be a bit tough to get. I end up giving up a run for the A's. Oof. It's only a 28 run game now. I finish the 7th inning scoring 7 more runs. Bring my total to 36. 99 would be a bit impossible now. I set a new goal for 50. Which even that was a stretch and I would need 14 runs in the 8th. And so far, I haven't even reached 10 in an inning yet.
I leave bases loaded for the A's with no outs in the top of the 8th. But I went deep to my inner Skubal and gave up no runs. So how would I possibly get 14 runs? Well Colt Keith would homer, Spencer Torkelson would homer, Trey Sweeney would homer, Jake Rogers pops out, Parker Meadows homers, Kerry Carpenter homers, Riley Greene triples, Wenceel Perez singles with an RBI, Matt Vierling triples with an RBI... suddenly I only needed 7 more runs and I still had only 1 out... maybe it's possible. Colt Keith triples with an RBI, Spencer Torkelson homers, Trey Sweeney grounds out. I only need 4 more runs but need to be very careful. Jake Rogers gets a lucky bounce up the middle, Parker Meadows homers. And now I am just 2 runs away!... maybe it is possible. Kerry Carpenter homers just enough. And Riley Greene... blasts a ball out of the park. And I have now scored 50 runs! Imagine seeing that in real life!
I did end up getting one more homer with Wenceel Perez. And after that, I finished out the game with 51 runs! The Athletics should be thankful I gave them anything. Anyways, the notable players were Spencer Torkelson who went 7-8 with 5 homers, Riley Greene who went 8-9 with 5 homers, Parker Meadows who went 6-9 with 4 homers. And Kerry Carpenter who went 8-9 with 3 homers.
My only question, how is the Athletics bullpen so damn big?
