Mario 35 is back!

I... after so long returned to Super Mario Bros. 35! I know what you're wondering... isn't it shut down? Yes. It is. But the community has since gotten together and made a custom Mario 35 server and brought the game back to life! Obviously it's not the same as truly playing against 34 random other players. But the experience is still just as fun! And I suck just as much!

This community is known as Super Mario Bros. 35 Continued Interest. And every Saturday, they host a weekly tournament that consists of 5 rounds. Each round having a different theme. The first round for the week of 5/31/25 was I Heart 6-3. If the name didn't give it away, there was a shit load of 6-3 in this queue. It's honestly fascinating how they are able to make their own level queues. Or just how they figure out how to even do that. I actually did not too bad. But a missed jump sadly led to my death.

Round 2 was Power Outage. Meaning the levels in this queue had no mushroom power-ups. And had to rely on the item roulette wheel if you wanted to power up. I definitely had my best performance here. But this time I just ended up running out of time. That clock goes stupid fast. And trying to get more time was too little too late. But I did get 3rd overall there.

Round 3 was Player's Choice. Self explanatory. From how I understand it, it was just the levels we picked. Sadly I got out pretty early here. Lakitu hell still very much exists. If only I was like №™³ and had hundreds of coins in 2 seconds.

Round 4 was 25% v2. It basically picked 8 random levels of the 32 in the game. The level choice could not have been any worse. I got out extremely quickly. Thanks to... LAKITU! I had a roulette wheel to spin but I didn't want to use it that early. I now heavily regret that.

The final round was RTAndomizer. Which was every level, but randomized. A lot of people got out early so it was just me and 3 others. Guess which one of us 4 got out next? Once again, time was my enemy. Good thing I was in a water level and I couldn't kill any enemies. And even when I did get a power-up, I had so little time. Yeah overall the levels were... absolutely not in my favor.

Maybe I should be like №™³ or Not Me and figure out how to get 500 coins in 3 seconds. Or for all I know, they hacked those coins in. Anything's a possibility.
