No assist mode needed!

I return to I Am Bread! A game I haven't played... not in a long ass time but just... an ass time. Last time... yeah I found myself using an assist mode. I think it gave me infinite grip or whatever. But this time... I wanted to go without an assist. To show I can play this game for real. It wasn't easy. But I sure did it!

Before I began playing, I also debuted a little bit of an upgrade! I have a capture card but... it's cheap. And the video quality ain't the best. The reveal could've gone smoother but overall, I showed that I found a way to capture my gaming computer with a much... MUCH better quality. It's by using something called DistroAV. Or OBS-NDI. Basically what's happening is that I have an instance of OBS running on my gaming computer. Which captures the entire screen. And then that screen is streamed over to my laptop. Think of it as like a virtual capture card. With my laptop and desktop also hardwired through an ethernet cable, the stream is smooth and lag free! I think my demo drive for this new capture method worked and I will definitely be using it for future PC game streams!

Back to the bread. I cleared the bedroom level with ease. Took me about 10 minutes. I figured the iron was my toaster and I was right! The bread was rotten and moldy. But hey... I still made toast! The bathroom level was definitely a bit tougher. You start right in a cupboard over a sink. You fall in that water and things won't be pretty for you. You fall in the trash and things won't be pretty for you. I think my first attempt at the level was solid. But my bread lost its grip. From then on, it was restart after restart after restart. Eventually I did get to the blow dryer and heated that bread to a nice uneven and crispy toast!

The last level I fully completed was the Garage. The answer to this level wasn't as clear as the bedroom or bathroom. Also you start in the trash and unlike the bathroom, the trash can doesn't hurt your bread. That makes sense. I climbed up the boxes with decent ease. But from there I was like... what the hell do I do now? I thought maybe the old broken TV but that wasn't it. Then there was this lawn mower thingy to my left. I thought that was just a decoration piece. But to my shocking surprise, I pushed the button, it turned on, and there was some heat coming out from it. Hip hip hooray for damn lucky guesses!

I ended the stream in the Garden. I actually survived a decent long time. Despite stressful situations. I made it on the car but I guess a tiny ass dirt spot just murdered my bread. At that point I surpassed the 1 hour mark of the stream that I accidentally did in 120 FPS. Oops. And I figured I'd call it there. I made it through 3 levels unassisted. And I was pretty happy! Looks like I really only have 3 levels left in Story Mode at least. Unless the game suddenly unlocks something and it's like... surprise! Here's 8 more levels for you!

You never truly know when you're finished.
