Time to become a hero!

For the fourth game in my childhood block, I played the only computer game in the block. Jumpstart World: 2nd Grade! I remember playing this game a lot when I was a lot younger on my old Dell computer. Of course now all the way in 2025, that computer is long gone and long dead. But it had been a long ass time since I played this game anyway. So I didn't mind starting it from scratch.
We join Camp Jumpstart for the last step in training. This game was part of a 3 grade series. 4 technically. Pre-school, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade. I could've sworn there was a 3rd grade. But I guess not. We're explained that by helping others and doing good deeds. And by doing those and doing the learning activities, we fill up a shield and it looks like there's 12 to collect.
We're given a Jumpstart Communicator which will give us our current objective. After that, we move to the gameplay. And start by collecting red orbs for Frankie. And delivering them to Kisha. After that, we meet with Eleanor who shows us the reading arcade. And you know me, I...... love reading. Clicking on any of the reading arcade machines brings us to the minigame selection. There's 12 units worth of minigames. And my guess is each unit is a full shield. I think. I could be wrong though.
Now when I started the minigames, I actually ran into a bit of a problem in which apparently the minigames run under an even small resolution. It's like going from 800x600 to 640x480. I don't even know if my graphics card in my computer supports that low of a resolution. Thankfully the first game was still playable. Which was tic tac toe. With reading lessons too. This case, if words have the same starting or ending sounds. The starting sounds minigame was easier because the ending sounds minigame had a lot of questions that could be heavily debated. Like Wish and Mash. Is the ending sound ish or sh? It's not ish which I thought it was.
Thankfully after configuring some compatibility settings for the game, I fixed the resolution issue. Sigh of relief. Other games included dominos where we have to touch words that rhyme, word starting sound snake, end sound donut shooting, just flat out reading with a quiz at the end, word sound tile hopping, word starting sound skiing, oh.. and a word sound driving game. Which that one sounds fun. If it weren't for this annoying bitch who kept telling me to click this fucking question mark if I had no clue what to do. As if she thought I was stupid. And I'll tell you this... I was not. I so badly wanted to shut her up.
Once I finished the first set of reading games, I was able to start the math games. Which included iceberg crushing that matched the number at the top, eating cheese as rat with numbers going in the correct order, and even number skiing. That's where I ended for the night. But not before checking out the credits lobby. It was definitely a more empty place than I thought. But it did have a fun slide and zip line ride. And of course... the credits.
Oh and these creepy ass eyes too that stare deep into your soul.
