Very... very slowly getting... better?

I've actually been getting on the leaderboard in the Mario 35 continued interest tournaments lately. That's not supposed to happen. Maybe this week things will go back to normal?

The first match of the week is... 35? Which is all levels that have a 3 or 5 in them. So basically all level 3's and all levels in world 5. Did I get through 5-1? Yep. Did I get through 5-2? Nah. I had heavy hammer crack my damn skull. Couldn't even get the mushroom. Went too far right. Welp. Out right on the 2nd level and finishing in 11th place. Now THAT sounds more like me. At least by dying early, I could strategize my fucking life and how I will play the next match much better. This one being "No 40". Yeah it's what it sounds like. All levels that don't have a 4 in them. No castles or world 4. At least we don't have to worry about Bowser! Not like he shows up much anyway... so I don't know why I said that. XD! Thankfully this match starts with everyone's favorite 1-1. Yes I did beat 1-1 thank you very much. Yes I did beat 1-2 next. I warped over to 2-1 and I can confidently say I beat that one. Even with the fishies flying around. 2-2 was next and me and my fire flower cruised right through that. I survived the fish of 2-3 miraculously and made my way to 3-1. Hammer bro couldn't get me that time. 3-2 was a breezy run. And it was on to 3-3. I beat it. I've already beaten level 5-1 today. I beat it again. Did I get my revenge on 5-2 for fucking me over last time? Hell yeah I did. Even a party of Lakitus didn't stop me. They stopped me in 5-3. I'm not a Lakitu wave rider. I finished in 9th that round. Wow 9th! A whole 2 places better! HUZZAH! Maybe my next match and I will finish 7th? If I can get past the players... "nice" level choices with Player's Choice being the 3rd match. Goodie. At least 8-1 isn't that hard. Especially after playing it for a while now in this game. I've gotten used to it. I swam with no trouble in the world through 2-2 and collected my coins in 2-1! On to 3-4... oh goodie I get to say hi and also bye to Bowser. And hey it's our old pal 5-1 again! How about that? I... painfully got through that level. 3-2 wasn't as painful. Flip the numbers around you get 2-3 which that was very painful. Too many Bowsers, Lakitus, and Fishes on screen. Oh yeah remember how I said I would get 7th this match? I lied... I got 5th... holy fuck I am on the leaderboard again...

Hey, I can now feel satisfied going into the 4th match of the week. "Canned Heat". Ah the ol' heat in a can. You know. For emergencies! 2-1 is a nice, bright, sunny day. Partly cloudy skies, beautiful trees in the background. Coin filed atmospheres. And a flag at the end to which I happily slide down! Now 3-3... that's a dark level. Last time I checked... dark doesn't mean hot. No issue for me anyways. A cool night can easily be conquered and it's on to 1-1! And then to 5-1 followed by level 8-1, 6-2, 3-2, 6-3, 4-3... oh wait... I didn't make it to 4-3. I nearly died off the spring in 6-3 but somehow curved my way back. And then I bonked my head on the weighted platforms and... well there was no ground below me. You can only get so lucky I guess. But then again you shouldn't have to get lucky just to get on the weighted platform. This was more of an instance of... I just fucked up. Oh well. Ain't nothing I can do about it now. I died. End of story. I finished 11th here. Ah. Just like old times! One more match. The RTAndomizer. Everyones favorite. Not. Naturally we start in 7-4. Also naturally I make it through unharmed. 8-2 is next and it's not long before some Lakitus take my fire away. Some fishies try to ruin my day. But I ruin theirs instead. Fish and spinies try to take me down also in 2-3. Once again, I take THEM down. I make it through 6-1 and finally I can calm down in 1-2. I take the warp to 4-2 and from there warp to 2-1. Bowser is no match for me in level 3-4 or 2-4. The fishies still can't take me in 2-2. And I blast through 3-1. The tension is high at this point. I get through 5-3 and it's back to the calm and familiar lands of 1-1. Wait... I fucking die here? Yep. I did. I fucking died... in 1-1. And the worst part... I die to a hammer thrown by a bro that I killed with the POW block. I guess dude was like... you take me down? You go with me. Fucking hammers dude. BUT... on the bright side... I finished 3rd in this match! Huh? 3rd? That's not supposed to happen. Well I'll say the script just broke horribly there. But I'll take it. Especially since... I'M NOT DEAD LAST ON THE LEADERBOARD THIS WEEK! HU-FUCKING-ZZAH!

On to the Junior Championship. Would I also declare my ability to scream for bragging rights? I cruise through 1-2, 5-1, and 4-1. Sadly I was taken down in 7-3. Not by a fish though. By a... Goomba... so... uh... no... no bragging rights. But hey! At least Michigan State took down Boston College in Football! HUZZAH! THERE'S YOUR BRAGGING RIGHTS RIGHT THERE! XD!
