Demons, Hordes, Potato, Patato.

I checked out the new Fortnite Demon Rush mode! Well... quote on quote "new". It's Horde Rush really. The same as it has been for every Fortnitemares. The only difference? Okay well it's difference(s). The enemies are now demons, there's now 2 bosses. The Caretaker and a new Final Peel boss. Oh yeah... there's a lot of K-Pop references too. Other than that, it's the same mode.

Oh yeah... I'm also playing with random squads too. This will surely go so "well". Jumping in, it's essentially the same. Loot up and prepare for combat. Except now there's a stage in the center and if you emote on it, you regain health. There's also vending machines that have weapons in them too. Oh yeah augments are back too! HUZZAH! Oh how I missed them. There's also this cat statue you can go to increase the difficulty level. It's a team choice so each player can ramp up the difficulty if they choose. The first round starts and... yeah it's Horde Rush. Defeat the demons, break the giant towers, survive, etc. You also collect monster parts to spend on the vending machines or augment rerolls. The first round is pretty easy. The enemies ain't too tough and you can take them down pretty quickly. Once we finish the first round, I sprint to a vending machine and pick up Rumi's Empowered Sword and holy fuck empowered is right. I mean holy shit this sword cuts through everything as if the demons are suddenly bread. Ain't no demon is getting past me with this OP thing. Oh and if you get the Melee Restoration augment? The one that gives you health for melee damage? Game the fuck over baby. I also got the augment that gives me a balloon when I jump. Which should come in handy. For the next round, there's a mini-boss that shows that wields a pumpkin launcher. AKA, the rocket launcher but the rockets are pumpkins. You know you'd think for a boss with a lot of health that the loot it drops is better. But to be honest? It's loot is utter dogshit. Really the only best thing it drops is a purple suppressed pistol. I get the speed walk ability as we follow the storm and defeat the demons leading to the next round where we face... the caretaker! And... yeah this is the exact problem I've had when I checked this out on NeedNoMoreMics. Nobody fucking contributes. Hell I felt like my Chain Of Hades did most of the work compared to the other 3's guns. It's like everyone is focused on the other demons hence why the Caretaker's health bar goes down SO DAMN SLOWLY. SO yeah... needless to say... shit didn't go so well. And it's back to the lobby.

I get my meat grinding emote from playing that last game and it's back to the start. I loot up, pick up the Empowered Sword because I already had the monster pieces for it and everyone else can fucking suck it, and slash them demons. I get a siphon augment here which should be even more helpful right? Nothing crazy about the first couple rounds. Mostly the same stuff. Cutting down the demons. Just avoid getting trapped in the poison bubble. It's not safe to be in there. Unless you get an augment that protects you from poison. Oh yeah there was like this weird... portal thing that showed up after the 2nd round? I had no idea what the fuck it was. Walking into it did nothing. I don't know if that was a bug or what it was. It didn't affect the rest of the game though. As we followed the next storm, the... ranged demons they call them. I call them the demons who throw shit at you... they were all ice demons. So scary right? Not like the empowered sword stops me from sliding or anything. And... oh my gosh can't you believe it? We actually all worked on fighting the Caretaker and it died! Oh my gosh it's possible! HUZZAH! I had gotten one of those exotic Lawless Pump & Dump's during the fight and that definitely helped. The demons admittedly did get tougher as we followed the next storm. I had to step away from using my sword and focus on defeating them longer range with my Pump & Dump. As we prepared for the next battle, I got another Chain Of Hades. I got an augment that makes it so the damage I take increases but so does the damage dealt. And that with the Chain Of Hades makes for a damn fun time! Hell just following the next storm, I got an 87 KO streak with the chain alone! Oh yeah... I'm ready to be deadly as we take on... the final peel! AKA... Shogun X meets Peely. No that is literally it. Well I've defeated Shogun X plenty of times so this should be easy!... oh how I very much underestimated this. Despite the fact we were making good progress on it hell we were even looking to kill it, I got trapped between way too many fucking demons and... well... we didn't survive unfortunately. Well shit.
