Happy Baseball season!

Funny how I get this game just about as the 2026 MLB season has started. Yes I am playing MLB The Show 25!... and MLB The Show 26 is currently out. fuck. XD!

Well I did get this game before The Show 26 existed so... it's fair right? HAH! FAIR! XD! I get my settings configured. Yes I am still a Tigers fan, thank you for asking! I decide to go on the road against the Padres as at the time, that was who the real Tigers were currently playing. Me and my boy Skubal will lead us to victory! As for the game itself? Well honestly it kind of just feels like MLB The Show 24 with some... slightly different on screen visuals. Am I sure this isn't just repackaged The Show 24? Well Torres and Carpenter get out and then I crush a fucking ball with Riley Greene! Early 1-0 lead just like that! It's a clean 1-2-3 inning in the bottom 1st and so is in the top 2nd. I have no problem 1-2-3'ing the next guys in bottom 2nd and I get 1-2-3'ed in top 3rd. Man this game is just flying by. Things do get a wee chippy in bottom 3rd as suddenly there's guys on 1st and 2nd with nobody out. Oh boy. However, a flyout and then a double play gets me out of that jam! Top of the 4th starts with a Carpenter single. I almost thought I had a fly out with Tork and then the game fucking confuses me with a tutorial telling me to hit L to advance runners. Thankfully I got Carp back to 2nd and Tork to 1st safely without getting any extra outs. So now I have 2 on and 1 out. And then Wenceel Perez blasts a ball to right giving me and the Tigers a 4-0 lead! I get into another bit of a jam in the bottom 4th. Putting guys on 1st and 2nd with 1 out. But thankfully I get out of it again. After a single from Parker Meadows in top 5th, Padres do a pitching change and then I destroy a ball to left with Torres. 6-0 Tigers! Bottom 5 goes 1-2-3. And in no time, top 6th starts with a Tork single! And then a deep left dong for Ding! Ding Dong! Baez is lucky to get on 1st because the throw from 3rd to 1st is... beyond fucking off. And Park is JUST short of a homer. But I am enjoying this 8-0 lead! More 1-2-3 magic for bottom 6th. Top 7th starts with a free double for Torres as the ball jumps off the field and over the wall. Oh yeah I finally learn how to take balls here too. XD! However despite having 2 guys on, I can't get any more runs scored. I guess I can only do that if I hit homers. No seriously all 8 of my runs have come from homers. Man I am CRUSHING it now with Skubal in the bottom 7th. Another 1-2-3!

Can't quite get a 1-2-3 in bottom 8th. Had a bad throw from McKinstry going to 1st. But got the next guy to fly out so we're still up 8-0. Top 9th, okay I don't know if these AI's are too scared or something because with 2 on and Riley Greene just destroying a ball deep and fair, you'd think that would score a run right? Nope. Bases loaded. Like come on guys I think you have PLENTY of time to score. And then Tork hits a grand slam. Well? The runs did score eventually. XD! I take Skubal out for bottom 9th and bring in Troy Melton. I hear this guy had potential. Was it a clean bottom 9th? No. But... no earned runs! Tigers win 12-0! Hell of a game! Will this be the only time I play MLB The Show 25?... honestly probably. XD! You know I kind of do want to go back to these older sports games I have and... do something with them. I'll find a way! I do enjoy playing these MLB The Show games and I think I'll enjoy checking out The Show 26!

Even if it fucking feels like The Show 24 again. XD!
