Who's ready for horror! That's right! Mr. Wheel has given me oneway.exe! A game that uses a computer desktop environment as the primary scene. Kind of like No Players Online.

We turn on the computer and woah there's a lot of shit happening already. Weird shit. Things are glitching out then it starts to play different media that seems to be reviews of the game itself. All on top of some news report that talks about someone being brutally abused and murdered. And then... used after. Gross. So anyways, we're in a virtual machine. I get a brief lay of the land and it's off to the races. Well assuming I can even do anything. Can't even access the main title screen because this fucking folder is in the way and I can't minimize it! And even when I do, it takes the game window with it! Okay I guess I am restarting! XD! So we get going and uh oh spoopy red skull coming right after me. Takes a bunch of icons into a fucking blender. And now we're going. Suddenly I am taken to this very dark corridor with only a dim flashlight. While a bunch of pop-ups get in my way. And seemingly a conversation between a couple characters. EE and SS. CT too gets involved. And then shit gets glitchy and then who the fuck is this creepy ass girl coming right for me? I don't know what she wants but I think I have to run. Yes if she catches you, you are so absolutely dead. So this time I run away. All while I have to close down shit because they're taking up too much resources. I only have 16 gigs of RAM you know. Pop-ups I have to close both in this corridor world and in task manager. All while I am trying to figure out what the fuck am I supposed to be doing? Until I eventually realize... oh... I want the game to crash. I suppose that's why task manager has a handy dandy CLONE button. When I get back into the game, there are voices now. Are they the game developers? Sure sounds like it given they're giving context on how they want the fucking game to feel. To explain the way horror had evolved. I eventually get put into I guess some sort of level selection. With different characters I can deal with. I check out Fiona of Ecdysis Archives. It's a small room. Wheel chair, table, medicine, pictures, notes, and news articles. All of it put together into something very unsettling. Yeah so you know how earlier I mentioned someone being used after they were killed? It's a bunch of... skin peeling. Like a note that describes a dream of that feeling. It doesn't sound very fun.

The more I explore the room, the more it changes. Eventually I find the pile of skin. And I want to fucking puke. Suddenly next to the table is a knife and I eventually realize I can use it to cut open the skin pile. Inside is a missing person poster. A woman named Laurie. She had retired from the FCPD along with divorcing her husband. And then she was gone... hmm... there's even more missing people posters on the wall. And eventually there is a fucking figure poking out of what was once a family photo. Coming after it makes it vanish and reveals a copy of "The Tell-Tale Heart". Now that is a classic story. Clicking it takes me to the desktop and an app called GrapeLine opens. I get to read through a conversation. Though I don't get to read it all before I am thrown back into the game. And now it is so fucking dark as my flashlight only has the BRIEFEST of power left. All for when I find a heart do we get all light back. Back to the desktop and holy hell it's a mess. All the notes and missing posters somehow found their way to my desktop. Back in the game, I can look out the window. I wish I didn't because that figure is going to fucking haunt me. And then... blackness... eternal... blackness... I can still access my inventory. When I minimize and get back into the game, I do get my light back. But my time back in the room is short. I am dumped back to the desktop with Mr. Skull. Seems like he wants to destroy my computer. Well I don't like the sound of that. Fucker throws my PDF files all over my desktop. Was that necessary? Seems like at least a majority of them are what I found back in Fiona's room. With some miscellaneous documents too. Opening different apps in this VM seems to make Mr. Skull respond to such executables. Like Fantome, a Discord clone. Along with Dialer and GrapeLine. And now here comes the part where I have no fucking clue what I am doing. XD! Something about putting incoming fax messages in a folder? But I need to test the connection but I need a proper command? And now Fantome is in a corner and I can't move it? No really I am clicking on every fucking app, every fucking file. Trying to find SOMETHING! ANYTHING! I find a phone number in GrapeLine but putting it in Dialer doesn't do anything.

I find a URL in the file explorer. Which yes it does work. Do I find anything useful on said website? Not really? I mean there's a gallery of the characters and their descriptions. And somehow down the rabbit hole I find a page very reminiscent of olden 90s days websites. Okay seriously what am I doing? I'm amazed I even find SOMETHING. In Fantome, one of the conversations actually has the test command. And from there I find a new file. Not much but I guess it's some self note from someone who seems to feel different from who they were before... and... that's it. I really can't make any more progress. Thankfully this game does have autosave. It seemed to save right before Mr. Skull dumped my PDF files all over the desktop.

Still unnecessary by the way.
