I am back with the Mario 35 Continued Interest tournaments for what should be my final time in 2025 because of what my schedule holds for the future in terms of streaming. So hopefully I can end out 2025 of Mario 35 with a bang. I haven't done so great lately. I was due for a good week.

I hopped on pretty early this time to do some 2 worlds collide warmups. The first one starting with a 2-3 fish bridge. Surely with there only being 3 of us, I'd have a chance right? Not when a fucking fish eats my jump and forces me into a pit good grief. Let's try again. Starting with 1-2? That's more like it! I warp to 1-1... naturally and proceed to 1-4 from there where I smoke down Bowser's butt! Unfortunately my roulette spin in 7-1 was just done a tad too late and I die to Koopa feet. They sure are stinky. That's why Mario died. The next warm up dumps us right into 8-3. Oh cool and with no roulette spins, I am the first to go here. Yep. My confidence is already sinking to the shitter. The next warmup, right back to 2-3. At least I get past the fish bridge and head into 2-1. I get the coin heaven, realize my sound is muted, and finish the level and head off to 6-3. Only one person in the universe loves this level. It ain't me when I think I land on a platform but really I bounce off a Blooper and die into a pit thinking I jumped off said platform. Will my next warmup be any better? I burn down Bowser in 5-4 and conquer 5-1 before jumping across the trees of 5-3. I take down Bowser again in 2-4 and run across the 2-3 fish bridge. I do my best to survive here but unfortunately I just time out before I can reach the flag. It baffles me how pzyko had more fucking time than me. The next warmup has a few more people and this one starts on 6-1. Where I fail successfully to take down the Lakitu and lose any and all fire. Can't take the Lakitu down on my 1st flower, can't take it down on my 2nd. Too many spinies, I am fucking dead. My confidence is even further down the shitter. Speaking of shitter, I had to skip the next warmup because I... had to use the shitter. XD! But I made it in time for the 1st match of the night! It mirrors only starlight and moonlight! All night levels. Starting with the pancake that is 3-2. 3-1 follows. Not too hard. Those Hammer Bros stand no chance. I hop across the nightly trees of 3-3 and 6-2 follows. Just as dark as ever. I end up forgetting there's a coin heaven here but I will remember that come the future. Already back to 3-2 and then 6-1... this time I do defeat the Lakitu and even keep my fire!... for like 3 seconds. Well that was fun while it lasted.

This run also ends in 6-3 because I just went blind and wasn't paying attention to where I was landing on my jump... which was a massive fucking pit because for some reason I thought I would land back on the small moving platform... I didn't. Maybe if I could pay the fuck attention, I wouldn't die so silly in this game. This match really stretched on after I died. 23 fucking minutes. Bro how is that possible? How can these guys stretch out their timers for THAT LONG? I mean a real game of Mario 35 probably wouldn't last more than 4 minutes! Well now that I could actually play again, it was time for Into The Mines! Which is ironic given the first level in this queue is 1-3. That is... definitely not anything close to a mines level. 1-2 is a mines level. 3-3 is a night trees level which is not a mines level. 2-3 is a fish bridge which is not a mines level. 7-3 is another fish bridge which is not a mines level. 4-3 is a mushroom trees level which is not a mines level. 4-2 is a mines level. From there I warp to 1-2 which is fitting given it's a mines level. I from there warp back to 7-3 but that' s still not a mines level. 4-3 is a mushroom trees level which is not a mines level. 4-2 is a mines level. From there I warp to 1-2 which is a mines level. From there I warp to 2-3 which is not a mines level. From there I... uh... for some fucking reason lose all my speed the moment I jump right at the end of the level and fall into the pit. Don't ask me to explain why that happened. It just did. And it really fucking sucks to choke on a good run full of not mines levels. I did finish 3rd place there though. Landing me 6 points on the leaderboard! Not too shabby! I will take it! Not too much longer before that match ended. Next match... Drums, Drums in the deep. What does that mean? This host sure loves cryptic match names. We start in 1-2. A classic Mario 35 staple. Damn near impossible to die here. From there I warp to 4-2. A quick level since there's a warp zone not too far from the start. Plus it delivers a good chunk of coins too! I take the coins and head on over to... 1-2! How about that? On top of that I got a KO which granted me some extra coins! In 1-2, I warp over... back to... 4-2! Huh... unusual but I'll take it! I collect the coins in that warp zone and warp to... 1-2? Where I warp back to... 4-2? And then 1-2? Then 4-2? Then 1-2? Then 4... the fuck is going on?

Yeah so if you couldn't tell... we had a loop going on. There were so little levels in this queue that I could just keep going back and forth and back and forth between 1-2 and 4-2. Could I have warped to a castle instead? Sure. But I didn't. I am a man of the underground and I stay fucking FAITHFUL to that until my time runs... severely down and... oh now I get the drums part. Drums meaning... your heartbeat as it gets faster with how much longer the match lasts. At first it's nice, slow, and easy. You build up a lot of coins. But as the match progresses onward, and that timer gets faster, shit becomes stressful and you have to start mashing your roulette spins if you want to stay alive. I didn't stay alive to win. But I stayed alive JUST enough to get 5th place and 2 more points on the leaderboard! It's better than nothing! You shall not pass was the next match!... okay you could not pay me to decipher this match name. Once again we start in 1-2. To where I then warp to... world 4... level... 2... and then... 1-2... then 4-2... 1-2... 4-2... oh we're doing this shit again okay. XD! I guess the you shall not pass is because this time we have hammer chucking Bowsers. Not like they're any more threatening than the other Bowser's. I don't do nearly as good here as I did the previous match. Finishing 7th place because I had no fucking enemies to kill! Where were they going? To every-fucking-body else apparently while I got stuck with the stock default. Of course at the match got down to the last few people, more enemies populated each screen. I applaud their method of purposefully taking the wrong paths in 4-4 just so they can grind out the enemies... shit why didn't I think of that? XD! Through Fire and Water was the final regular match of the night..... annnnd 1-2 is the first level of the queue. I swear if I can warp to 4-2 I AM GOING TO FUCKING LOSE... there was no 4-2 to warp to. I did though warp to 2-2 which was a water level. 7-3 is a fish bridge which is neither water nor fire. I guess I was so frustrated about that because once again... I always say I'll learn... I never do. I don't spin my item roulette while I'm small thinking I can make it to the item box... what really happens is that I get fish face and die and finish 8th place... which is also how many points I ended with this week.

At the end of the match, there was a 1st place tie between NoTM3 and Wotsuh. So it was decided that whoever of the 2 did better in the Junior Championship would win the week. That of which starting on 1-1 then moving to 1-2 where I then warp to 2-1. I'm just going through all the staples here! Is 6-2 a staple? I mean I guess I've played it a lot. It has both an underground and heaven coin bonuses... to which I do remember the coin heaven here. I run across a 2-3 fish bridge into the 7-3 fish bridge. 8-1 is next. Definitely the easiest world 8 level at this point in my opinion. And we're right back to 6-2 where I take the underground and heaven coin bonus stages there before running across the 3-2 pancake. I swim through 2-2 and into 7-1where my run once again ends with Hammer Bro to the face. I think 7-1 is just my mortal fucking enemy and I hate it so much. To no surprise, NoTM3 and Wotsuh where the final 2 standing in the JC. This is where it gets fun where the 2 fighting for the weekly crown are the final 2 alive in the match. Wotsuh claims the crown here because NoTM3 ended up timing out. But in all seriousness, GGs to them both!

It was literally fought quite well until the very end!
