mr. wheel is now even giving us miicord crew streamers new games starting with p? i seriously think there's a sign here as i am given plants vs. zombies: replanted. a remake and remaster of the original plants vs zombies. with enhancements and new features!

i register my name and... oh come on they couldn't even put in the little boom sound when the logo comes in the intro? oh we're off to a great start. but other than that the game plays just like how it always does. you start with just one lane of grass as you use your peashooters to take out the zombies. pretty easy as i move on to 1-2 where i get access to the sunflower! sun from the sky is nice. but this will give me even more sun! even with having to deal with 3 lanes of grass now, it's still no problem to take on these basic zombies and move on to 1-3! 1-3 gives us a cherry bomb and cone head zombies. does the extra protection help them? not really. also it's at this stage in the game where i take advantage of a big new feature. speed up mode. yes... ea and pop-cap was like... what if our players got too bored playing this? so they added a feature where you could have the game going at 1.5x, 2.0x, or 2.5x speed. which believe me, will definitely help when it comes to going through this game. despite a misplacement of a sunflower plant, i still make it through and get to 1-4 where we get some extra defense with the walnut! even though i didn't use any in this level as i jump into 1-5. the minigame portion of this first level. here we meet crazy dave. you know he's crazy with the pot on his head. i get the shovel which will definitely help if i accidentally put a plant in the wrong spot again. anyways, it's time for bowling! yay! down the walnuts go on the lawn, knocking down those zombies! like many probably do, i try to save all my explosive nuts at the end to quickly get rid of the end horde. after that, i get my little spud friend, the potato mine and head into 1-6. pole vaulting zombies are introduced here. i start to use walnuts here to slow them down as soon as possible. 1-7 gives me the snow pea which will let me slow down zombies. so now instead of having 2 columns of just plain peashooters, now i have a column of plain peas and a column of snow peas! stunning those zombies makes it a lot easier and gives me more time to take them down! 1-8 gives me a chomper plant and introduces me to bucket head zombies. a stronger protection sure. but nothing i can't handle. this is also the first level where i can pick what plants are in my arsenal.

sorry spud, maybe next time. nothing much changes here. 2 columns of sunflowers, 1 of plain peas, another of snow peas, and walnuts to stop bucket zombies from coming any closer. once that's said and done, i move on to 1-9 and collect my repeater. double the peas in one shooter! i can use these in a 3rd column of peas. 3 plain peas and 1 snow pea per row should be enough to take down these... so called tough zombies as i head to the first of many conveyor belt levels. i don't care about neatness or organization in 1-10. i just place down whatever the game gives me and then let the peas do their job. it's enough anyway to easily take down these zombies. hell i even put the game on the max 2.5x speed because i'm not worried at this point about the zombies coming anywhere near my house. and sure enough, they don't! that finishes the job for level 1 as i move to level 2. it's night time now. no more falling sun. but i can still get some from sunflowers! though i don't really need to worry about using up sun. puff-shrooms are free! their little water bubbles sure are powerful. that's all i really need here. sun and puffies! i also get introduced to newspaper zombies. don't destroy their paper. or they get pissed and charge at you. even then not even their extra speed can get past my little puffy guys as i get my sun-shroom and head off to 2-2! while sun-shrooms deliver less sun at first, they do grow and then give off regular sun. plus the sun-shrooms are cheaper too! just like 2-1, i use pretty much only sun-shrooms and puff-shrooms. but also walnuts for an extra layer of protection. i had to shift one of my rows of puffies back a spot because one grave took up a spot in my walnut column. but i still defeat the level and collect big daddy fume-shroom for 2-3! big boy is angry and will blast these zombies away! it's a nice upgrade to my defense. screen door shields are nothing against the big blasts! i let the big guys be in the back and my little guys can then take up the next 2 columns. on to 2-4 and a grave buster. their teeth are like knives. they chow through those graves like it's nothing! crazy dave also gives me 7th seed slot for my arsenal! more plants, more fun! just like before, 2 columns of sun-shrooms, a column of daddy fumes 2 columns of baby puffies, walnuts for defense, and those grave busters chow down!

once i take down 2-4, i move on to 2-5 and get my almanac which gives me info about plants and zombies. which i can also access from the introduction screen!... which i can also access from the introduction screen!... which i can also... okay you get idea that view almanac button doesn't do jack shit. go fucking going ea and pop-cap. you know how to make a functional game! but i can access the almanac from the main menu. i've also unlocked co-op and versus modes too! maybe i'll have to take on one of my friends in this game some day! also the adventure mode button is a little different. instead of just straight up taking you to the level you were on, you can now go back to a previous level you once played and even take a peek at future levels. including the last one where we can just straight up see the final boss. how dare you pop-cap? how dare you spoil a boss that was in a game from 16 years ago? how dare you??? i'm disgusted. i just have to move on to 2-5 and bust down zombies in whack-a-zombie. it's not bad at first even with the game being sped up. it does get a bit too intense at the end though but that's why the lawn mowers are there. the zombies heads are literally bashed as i collect the hypno-shroom. and that's where i call it for the night. 15 of 50 levels in one night? not too bad! that speed up feature definitely helps! this will probably be all the replanted i get to play. v will probably end up playing the rest of it... probably sooner rather than later. it's still such a fun game. even if it has its flaws. who thought it was a good idea to have the music intense from the start? i'm glad they at least fixed that issue.

now can they please fix the view almanac button?
