Whew! Thank goodness Mr. Wheel skimmed right over an Observation Duty game and gave me Unpacking instead! A relaxing, very soothing puzzle game about... well... unpacking boxes and putting items in their proper place!
I make my save file... which is very cutely symbolized by a photo album! How sweet? We start all the way back in the year 1997. Just a small simple bedroom. The first of 3 boxes gives me a soccer ball, backpack, trophy, what looks to be like a little cup of pens or perhaps crayons... it's a little hard to tell what some of this stuff is because it's so small and pixelated. I also get a ruler, what maybe looks like a diary, I want to say like a pack of markers maybe?, sketchbook, photo, piggy bank, another book, a simon says game, a dreidel, Rubix cube, trash bin, chess and checkers game set, and a board game called procedure. In terms of where i put the stuff? I definitely move stuff around but I try to keep it organized. All the art supplies and books on the little shelf thing below the window, backpack and trash in the corners of the room, and miscellaneous items on the shelves which are a part of the bed frame! The 2nd box I open contains a book, scissors, eraser, some... I don't know alien dinosaur plush, what looks to be maybe a rolled up mat of some kind, another book, a little game device, a kitty plus, another book, a photo camera which actually unlocks a camera feature for me in game, flashlight, another book, a small item I can't dare tell what it is. It looks like maybe a toy vehicle or something. And there's a jump rope too. As for where I put things? Again all the art stuff goes on that shelf below the window, I put all the books on the desk below the bed, plushies go on the bed, game device and jump rope go inside the cupboard shelf under the window, I put the mat on top of that cupboard shelf, and stuff including the camera, light, and vehicle go on the bed shelf. The 3rd box has another book, a froggy plush, pony toy, a couple action figures, another pony toy, what maybe looks like a yo-yo, another framed picture, with a frame you usually just sit down on a table or shelf or any flat surface. Not the wall. There's also a boom box with tapes, And more books. After I am done setting everything down, a bunch of stuff begins to flash. Including the pony toys, boom box, books, etc. Seemingly meaning that I put these things in the wrong locations.
So the ponies actually go on the cupboard shelf top below the window. The mat goes inside the cupboard. The boom box goes on the bed desk. Not below it. The books go on the shelf. Except the diary though. No matter where I tried to put it on the shelf, it just wasn't happy. In fact it wasn't happy with wherever I put it. I was kind of stumped on just the diary itself. Like where the hell would a young girl keep her diary? Not on any shelf, not on top of the cupboard, not on her bed, Not her under bed desk. But... eventually I did figure out that it goes in her little under bed desk shelf. I'm kind of sad I didn't figure that out sooner. But then again to be fair I didn't think of that spot because that was already filled with the tapes and scissors. But I guess I could put the tapes next to the boom box and we were all fine. I got to snap a picture of the room and jump my way all the way to 2004! 7 years later! Seems like our girl has already moved on. Which probably makes me think if now we're in a college dorm room, my guess is that in 1997, she probably would've been about 12 years old perhaps. And now we're seeing her at 19 years old. Which would make sense. Right off the bat we see one of those old CRT computer monitors. Doesn't that take you back? The first box I open has a poster for... some sort of group. There's also a few books, a pencil pouch, I want to say maybe like a small pen holder? Again it's hard to tell what some of these things are. And a cup of drawing utensils. As for the bedroom itself, it's small but cozy. With a nice bed, a desk to the left of it with a chair, shelves on the wall, and a small little closet area with clothes hangers and a couple drawers on the bottom. I place the first box worth of stuff accordingly. The books on the shelf, along with the drawing utensils. I put the pencil pouch in one of the closet drawers, the poster on the wall, and the mystery item on the window sill for now. The 2nd box contains... I don't know what they are. Containers for something. There's also a computer mouse, mouse pad, ruler, binder, and another book. Light box there. The next one I open has the big tower computer itself. Can't have a monitor and mouse without the computer! There's also a framed picture, a piggy plush, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and wait holy shit this level has rooms I just now realized!
Besides the bedroom, there's also a bathroom and a kitchen too. It makes better sense for the toothbrush and toothpaste to be on the bathroom sink. Along with that there's also a mirror above the sink, a toilet, shower and tub, and a towel rack. As for the kitchen, a simple stove... no overn though. There's a sink, a little cupboard underneath, a dishwasher, and shelves above with a microwave. As for the bedroom, I continue unpacking the next box which has a dummy figure, CD player, and what also might be a combo radio. What might also be another binder, a pair of shoes, a CD shelf, and a boot... who the fuck puts one single boot in a box? Who the fuck packed these boxes? The 3rd box has several pairs of bras, a very... galactic poster, a gaming device, kitty plush, another small container, eraser, perhaps some large document holder, and either socks or underwear... I can't tell what they are. I also pulled out a toaster which belongs in the kitchen... who the fuck packed these damn boxes? I also pulled out the Rubix cube, a shirt, and another framed picture. I move a few things around and set what I pulled out in at least proper enough spots. The 2nd to last box in the bedroom has another binder, music player, another shirt and binder... at least I assume it's a binder? Or maybe it is clothing of some sort. Can't really tell. I also pull out the piggy bank, more shirts, action figures, soccer ball, notebook, and another shirt... well shit that's a pickle I'm already out of clothes hangers... huh... I just have to start stacking shirts for now. Oh yeah I guess our girl took her toy vehicle with her... man she really wanted to take everything. Oh I almost forgot, Every bedroom needs an alarm clock. It's only a staple! And an Eiffel Tower toy too because fuck it! XD! Another binder and more clothes and toilet paper too! To the bathroom that goes! More books and clothes finish up that box. So everything is set. I got the clothes in the closet, the CD case in the closet. The computer setup on the desk, Miscellaneous items like action figures, the toy vehicle and piggy bank on the sill. Books on the shelf along with the dummy figure and Rubix cube. And then the drawing supplies on the bottom shelf. And then the soccer ball in the corner. And the alarm clock and CD player on the nightstand.
Moving to the bathroom. Just one lone box here containing a towel that goes on the rack, a bar of soap, a mug... yeah that goes in the kitchen. Some deodorant, perfume, brush, shampoo, first aid bag, uh... I mean I guess it's a girl we're dealing with so I want to say it looks like a box of tampons. Some body wash too, more toilet paper, a larger towel, some of those... pad thingies? I mean I'm obviously not a girl myself but I don't know it looks like... if the bottom of a diaper was cut off. A small little trash bin, and a pan because clearly you put frying pans with your fucking soap good grief I will never hire these movers again. The kitchen has 3 boxes to deal with. The first of which has some mugs, a sugar container, a little pot for... I want to say maybe sugar cubes? And of course plates and bowls too. Can't have a kitchen without those. The next box has a towel, fork set which will go conveniently in the silverware slots in one of the drawers. Along with the knives and spoons. There's another towel that I just put in the cupboard for now. There's also soap and cooking oil. There's also some spice seasoning and a grill press. I also pull out a cutting board which conveniently fits right into the space to the left of the sink. And there's a pot too. it won't go on the stove so I just put it in the cupboard for now. Same with the larger pot. While I'm at it, the small towel can go on the stove. Totally safe. Another cooking oil goes on the sink area, along with... maybe some cheese grater thing? And a... well quite frankly I don't know what that small little cube item is. From a distance it almost looks like a burger merged with a thing of fries. The burg-fry! I'm sure it actually has a name. I am so stupid lazy to look it up. Last but not least for that box, the spatula! Starting with the final box where I pull the keyboard for the computer I swear I will actually never hire this moving company again. More plates and glasses along with a larger knife for cutting up stuff. I also pull out a wooden spoon, what looks like maybe an ice cream scooper? Again it's kind of hard to make out what some of these things are. I also pull out a sponge... ironic given I have a fucking dishwasher... I also pull out a tea kettle, and oh hey it's my other fucking boot! Also why were they not the fuck together?
There's also... what could be a can opener? The salt container is very obvious. It says salt right on it! There's also... I don't know a jelly jar? Paper towels and spoons and now it's time to see where the fuck I went wrong. Already there's a bunch of shit flashing in the kitchen. Including the burg-fry, sponge, one of the oils, jelly jar, press, spice shaker, and cheese grater. One of the oils looked like it went int he cupboard and the towel went over the microwave. In terms of the other rooms? I actually didn't do too bad there. There was just a couple things I needed to move in the bedroom including the small containers and the music player. And that was it. And I nailed the bathroom perfectly. Not a single misplaced item there! Back to the kitchen, the cheese grater also went above the microwave. The press went on the very top shelf and the spice shaker went in the cupboard below the sink too. Same with the jelly, burg-fry, and sponge. And that did it for that level! Not too bad! I'm pretty proud of myself for actually getting most of the shit right especially in the bedroom and bathroom! After deciding to rather take the picture of the bedroom, I have time to start one more level. This one brings us to 2007. My goodness our girl is growing up so quickly. From college apartment to a full fucking house in 3 years? Well then again that was the early 2000s. I'm sure by then shit was... affordable... this place is already pretty decorated. But I still have some stuff to put up. This place is so big I need a full on map to see all the rooms. 3 bedrooms but one bathroom? Who built this house? Satan himself? Looks like our girl is a gamer. Hence the video games I put up on display... at least I assume those are video games. I set down a book of some sort in one of the 3 bedrooms. Along with a shirt in said bedroom closet. A framed picture in the living room. And of course our classic CD player radio in that same bedroom. We'll just call it bedroom A for now. The CD tray goes in the upper left most shelf in bedroom A. I pull out a pot which goes in the kitchen. I put it in the bottom right most cupboard. I pull out what looks like a couple more video games and a board game too. The next box has a framed picture and a GameCube controller... well that must mean logically our girl has a GameCube right?
Hell yeah she does! Now she's a real gamer! I adjust the placement of some video games and then I pull out this big ass... I don't know whether it's a towel or a blanket but it's fucking huge. For now I just put it on the bed in bedroom A. One more video game finishes the first box in the living room. I got a little more time so I move over to the kitchen where I pull out a towel for the top most shelf area, some mugs, another towel I hang over the handle of the oven. A true proper oven! The can opener that I think is a can opener, the sugar cube pot, a little sugar container, a cooking oil bottle, cutting knife, a shit load of magnets for the fridge and that's where I end off! I'm sure a lot of stuff I set down was in the wrong location. And believe me, it'll probably be a fucking field day for me trying to figure out the correct locations of many of these items...
I probably wouldn't have this issue if I just got better fucking movers.
