Things take a whole new turn in Minecraft Story Mode: Season 2, Episode 1. Petra would get her enchanted sword back and Jesse and Petra would leave from Champion City. A little bitterness between the 2.
During Jesse and Petra's walk, the gauntlet attached to Jesse's hand begins communicating with her again. as the hole Jesse and Petra covered up becomes exposed again as the heckmouth begins spewing charged Creepers out at them. A shit load of charged Creepers. Usually you only see one when a Creeper gets struck by lightning. So how did all of these Creepers become charged? And who or... what was containing them? So of course the 2 fight them off. And holy crap that gauntlet is fucking strong! Jesse sucked punches like 5 Creepers all at once! After the fight, Jesse and Petra cover up the hole again. But if they know anything, it's that the hole will be exposed again. Petra mentions visiting Jack, a big treasure hunter. Seems like he might have some info about the gauntlet, or heckmouth, or both. Jesse and Petra are headed to Bad Luck Alley. Wow that sounds... fun? What it's apparently some sort of... lawless city. People do as they please. As Jesse and Petra look for Jack, it turns out that Petra doesn't actually personally know Jack. She knows who he is but the 2 never met. Petra shares that Jack was once one of the greatest treasure hunters and that he is apparently a hero to her. And by hero, she means that she's a big fan girl. Jesse advises to Petra to keep it cool as they head to Jack and Nurm's Adventure Emporium. Inside? Uh... some... flowers... diamonds... glowstone dust... greatest adventurer huh? Jesse rings the button for service. And uh... was Jack just waiting because suddenly he's there as if he was expecting us. Petra... well she tries to be cool yet we all know she's a nervous wreck. Apparently he was once called the Stab-Walker and Her Who Slashes Like Thunder. But... Jack allows Jesse and Petra to call him... Jack... alrighty then. Jesse presents the gauntlet and Jack is very surprised to see it. Almost... a little nervous. He mentions the heckmouth... or... bottomless pit. Jack seems upset Jesse picked up the gauntlet. Jesse blames the gauntlet for whispering her name. Jack warns that the pit is as deadly as it can be. And that the symbol they saw was the symbol of the structure block. The structure block being an almighty powerful tool that can create cities in a blink of an eye and that Jesse and Petra will need one to truly close the pit.
To get one of these structure blocks, they'll have to go to an ocean monument known as "The Sea Temple". At that moment, we meet a villager named Nurm. The other half of Jack. The genius behind their maps. And suddenly Jack says he can't help Jesse and Petra... wait what? Why? Is he a scared bitch? He's scared that if Jesse and Petra died, it would be bad for Jack's business. Wow he really is a bitch. XD! Jesse offers Jack to guide them on the adventure. But Jack seems hesitant. We're brought to the map Jack and Nurm have built. After flicking a lever, it shows that there is a little extra more to the map. With one space missing. That space being where Jesse and Petra need to go. Allegedly Jack had that missing piece. But then burned it in a volcano. Question... how? I guess Jack just really didn't want anyone going there. It's too dangerous. That or Jack is a bitch. Jack explains that he found a gauntlet like the one Jesse had. Jack had a couple friends follow the trail of the gauntlet. To which those friends... never made it back alive. Perhaps that's why he doesn't want Jesse and Petra to head over to the Sea Temple. But Jesse is able to motivate Jack and with Jack's perfect location memory, he finally agrees to take them. Plus Nurm wants to make a new map anyway. Before the 4 head off to the sea temple, Jesse heads back to the main base. Seems like Radar was waiting for them. And well... it's a bunch of small issues around town. Nothing really major. Jesse announces the bigger issue and says that she'll be away for a bit and needs Radar to lead the town while she's away. And he... well... is super pumped about it... this won't go horribly wrong will it? So it turns out Olivia made an upgrade to the armor display. Now I thought that... hah a twist was gonna show up here. Jesse would flick the lever and uh oh no armor it was stolen! But... no that didn't happen. All the armor was safe and sound. Now it's time to pick a suit for Jesse. I go with... the Swordbreaker. Sounds badass and has a nice modern look like Jesse said! Once Jesse gets geared up, Petra asks Jack and Nurm to give some privacy. Petra properly apologizes to Jesse about what all happened. The sword, Champion City, etc. And I let Jesse forgive her.
So off to Doom Sea we go... well... Jack calls it that. Once there, Jack warns us that this temple was made by an individual called... the Admin. Fascinating. Now I'm starting to think that these people aren't actually together per se. But more so... long distance controlling virtual characters in a server. Moderated and controlled by said admin. Doesn't seem like there's evidence of such one's existence. Not even Jack believes it. Before we dive below, Jack gives us some water helmets... which... timeout for a moment... putting a helmet on your head won't save you from drowning. You would need a damn oxygen tank to keep you from dying. But nobody fucking asked me. It's a video game so we move on. And I do say... holy fuck it looks BEAUTIFUL underwater! They went all out on the graphics here! We make it to the temple and UH OH! Fucking Cleveland Guardians coming to zap our ass. Jesse uses her gauntlet to open the door and we quickly head inside before we can get zapped any more. A couple sponges dry up the water and Jesse and the gang remove their helmets. And... oh good. Creepy ass giant statues with glowing eyes too. And their heads move too. They don't seem very threatening though... for now... oh and now Jack is being a fucking bitch again. Like come on dude you got this far. Don't back out now! Truth is... he really just doesn't want to go with them. But he's convinced otherwise. You can only be such a good liar. And somehow he convinces Jesse not to tell Petra about his... soft secret. I guess he's worried she'll think less of him. They go down to another door that needs the gauntlet to be opened. Right off the bat there are 2 floating chunks of water. Both with Guardians in them. Once again, the graphics are fucking beautiful! The way the water reflects? The really put the budget into that! Jesse isn't really too freaked out about the floating water... she's more like... "oh ok" when she sees it. Jack pretends to convince himself that this isn't the work of the admin. I like to think otherwise. In the same room there seems to be come cages made of glowing obsidian. Only time will tell what those are used for. Conveniently there are some sponges placed next to each water chunk. The plan? Take them, dry the water, and murder the Cleveland Guardians and send them off to Cancun. Got it. Jesse, also known as I in this situation chooses to become a distraction so that Petra and Jack can obtain the sponges. Petra gets one of the water chunks cleaned away. But just as Jack is about to do his, he's suddenly distracted seeing the inventory of his friend Sammy floating under the water. I guess his emotions got to the best of him. Shameful.
Also what an inventory right? Some leather pants and chestplate, diamond, bow, and empty bottle. No wonder she died coming to the temple. Oh remember the obsidian cages? Turns out there was someone trapped in one of them. Also just now they notice? He says if Jesse opens the next door, the cage will open. But a part of me isn't very optimistic about this. With everything Jesse has gone through, it almost absolutely feels like a trap. Jesse and Petra pick up some Guardian loot. When Petra sees how emotional Jack is, she honestly feels understanding about it. Saying she would feel the same if that was Jesse's loot. At the end of the room lies what looks to be a busted door. Missing key pieces needed to make it open. There's a convenient chest nearby containing some dark prismarine. And a crafting table too. Again, very convenient! I'm able to make a sea lantern and prismarine with it. Petra then recommends I craft a Sea Lantern but... I... just... already did that... I'm given some extra prismarine shards but I back out and head to the door. The door has a pattern that is pretty easy to understand. Just mirror what's on the left and fill in the few blocks. Only issue? I'm one short of a dark prismarine block and sea lantern. I try to rearrange the blocks... just to fucking realize I could just craft another sea lantern and dark prismarine block. So I craft one more sea lantern and dark prismarine block and now I can complete the door. Doing that opens it and opens the glowing obsidian gate. Out reveals Jack's friend Vos. Don't know how long he was in there for. But I guess he had enough porkchops on him to keep him company. Once Jesse and the rest introduce themselves, Vos shows quite a little hesitation to get everyone out of the temple. Now why would he want that? Is he... hiding something? Is this not really Vos? Is this... THE ADMIN?... perhaps we may never know. So they head further to find some more of those weird creepy statues. Much shorter ones this time. Another door needed to be open with the gauntlet reveals a long staircase leading to the next area of the temple. Holy shit this place is big. Oh and those mini-statues? Well they've come to life now and now I think is a good time for Jesse and the gang to FUCKING BOOK IT! The first thing I check out is what the game calls a "terminal". Looks like an unlit portal to me.
Up ahead look to be some runes? Yeah any one speak enchanting table does? I guess Nurm does. It's a story about the admin and how it allegedly built the world and once no more heroes surrounded him to take on his challenges, he would leave the world until the next heroes emerged. Those next ones mostly likely being Jesse and the Order of the Stone. Jack continues to be convinced that the whole admin thing is bullshit. Wouldn't it be funny if Jack was the admin all along?... holy shit what if he is? At the very top of the room is not one, but 2 structure blocks. Gifted to us by the admin himself. One of the tower of the warrior and another one of the wall of the builder. I take the tower because it looks like it's more defensive on the attack side. Taking this structure block makes the other one and the demo display disappear entirely. Alright so we got the structure block and fuck me those zombie statues have broken in and are coming up to eat our ass. Great. And they don't fuck around. Oh and remember the giant statue? Yeah that's come to play too. Amazing. Jesse takes the structure block she just got and out comes a tower... that literally looks like the demo display. I didn't expect that to be honest. I thought it was a small replica and that the actual structure would be much larger. Alas there's still more statues to take care of. The large one finally breaks through... and it fucking talks. Man life is just going great right now for these folks. I guess the tower suddenly became useless and it's time to fight them ourselves. My fight with the one statue could've gone... better. I should've known sooner that I could also move side to side and dodge the statue's attacks. Regardless, I still took care of it! Then the giant statue finally fully breaks in and a huge wave of water comes rushing in and
that's the end of the stream.
