Why did I buy this?

So here's one of the stupider games I got for The Winter Jackpot. Star Rangers XE. Yeah yeah cancel me for getting this game. I know this game was a part of a... failed Kickstarter essentially. Created by a dude who wanted to work with NASA to create space themed MMO games. But no matter how many games he tried to make... they were all failures. And yet they remained on Steam available to purchase even today. Firstly... why? Why has Mr. Gabe not done justice and take this game off the shelves? For one big reason I'll get into soon here.... also do you think that 10% of all sales from this game are being donated for astronaut training?
So my initial launch of the game and... well it almost seems like I won't even get to play the game. It's just stuck on 0% loading. Not realizing the game actually crashed. And here I thought that the game was just not loading. Restarting the game and it works this time... did the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation really contribute to this shit game? So getting into the worlds cheapest title screen ever made... I think the first sign that this game would never work was the Server Offline message in the lower left... despite that, I'm still able to make a character to represent myself. And then after that, it's time to pick my class. Whatever I think looks like the best. I make myself the Applied Scientist. Which would make me the technical guy on the low gravity trip with successful skills in numbers too! After that, it was time to head into a base. There was a global chat at the bottom too which uh... was completely fucking broken... I was stunned that there was allegedly games I could join? Even with offline servers? What? The first one I tried was a Mars Base. And while I technically got in the game... there wasn't anything I could do. I could see a map below me. But I couldn't move because it was just permanently stuck on 100% Loading and Retrying Braincloud. Creating my own game didn't help either. It was just stuck on Brain cloud connecting... yeah I think that Server Offline message actually meant something. Damn I couldn't even walk around and explore the worlds most lonely online game with nobody playing? Trying a test level didn't work either. As fun as a mars race sounded... I was once again doing the same song and dance of connecting to the brain cloud. I will tell you this though... the game sure did have some damn good music. And an idea actually hit me. I still had 34 minutes in the stream and I didn't want to have Mr. Wheel give me another new game now. So how do I fill the time? By turning this into a meditation stream! Yep! I put on a space graphic and invited people to meditate with me for half an hour as the stream hit 1 hour. Did the game ever load in that 1 hour time? No... it didn't. It never loaded. And that was basically my main issue why Steam never pulled this game off their store.
I don't know if Steam never really got enough reports about this game basically being dead or what. Given that yeah you have to pay for this game. 12 bucks too. It ain't cheap. So you're paying 12 dollars for a game that can't connect online anymore because its servers are long dead. No I don't think there's any custom or private servers for it. It is truly... a dead game. Yes yes don't worry I did request a refund.
I am so excited to get my $11.99 plus tax back.
